Hey, you. It’s okay. Take a step back and a deep breath in. Let it go. Give it all to God and take control of what you can.
Exercise is my outlet. It’s my time to work on me. And I do some of my best thinking when I’m lifting weights.
If I’m feeling insecure, overwhelmed, anxious, or unproductive, a workout is usually just what I need to get moving, feel better about myself, or find clarity.
For the first time in months I’m actually looking FORWARD to my workouts instead of viewing them as something on my to-do list. This program is so new and refreshing and it’s exactly what I need at this point in my life.

Another day, another round of doubles! Today I finished 68 & 69/ 100! I have big goals for myself this year. And one of those includes making my workouts a priority - getting them done first thing. Ellie has quickly fallen into my routine and loves reading books and snacking on Cheerios while watching.

If you look closely, you can see Ellie’s kiss marks. Every time I’m in here doing my workout, she’s in here too. She runs around and plays and occasionally she’ll look at herself in the mirror and give her reflection a kiss.
She is such a loving kiddo and it’s inspiring! I use this mirror to check my form, but most of the time I’m cutting myself down - looking at the cellulite on my thighs, how big my stomach looks, blah blah blah.
Come New Years, my goal is to have 10 self-compliments ready to go and stick on this mirror/ on the wall around it. And then build on it in the weeks to come.
Ellie deserves a mama who sets a good example - especially in the body image department. When she looks at me, she doesn’t notice the “flaws” I see. She just sees her mama. 💗

I drink my superfood shake {almost} every day. Since Ellie was born, she’s heard my blender several times every week. I was nervous the loud noise would scare her so I taught her “the shake dance”. Whenever the blender is going we raise our arms and shake/ dance around the kitchen together. And she continues to do it to this day. It’s a fun way to share the moment together 😊

Do it for the endorphins.
This time of year, especially mid-pandemic, it’s so easy for serotonin levels to drop. For us to go into hibernation mode - eat our feelings and binge the latest TV series.
Exercise produces endorphins, which help your serotonin levels to rise. Even for just 20 minutes a day, those 20 minutes can help make or break your mental health. Do it for the endorphins.
I’ve gone through those winter blues and I still struggle with them sometimes. It sucks. But exercise helps.
Today was one of those days and I wanted to do ANYTHING but my workout. I drank my pre-workout and pressed play. Those 20 minutes turned my day around. Try it out for yourself 🤍

That’s it. That’s the post.
🤪 but forreal though. It’s hard. This stage of life is fun, but definitely take a lot of energy and patience!

Tonight we had our first meal... as a family (of 3)... at a table.
Since Ellie has been in our lives, we’ve eaten our family meals at countertops and on the couch. This table means so much to us. It’s more than just a place to eat.
It’s where we’ll have family meals and quality conversations. Where Ellie will have her first school lesson. We’ll do crafts here. We’ll have family game nights. We can entertain friends and family.
We are so thankful for this table... and probably a lot more excited about it than we should be 🤣

They’re always watching. Seeing how we react, what we do with our time, how we treat each other...
While doing my workout today, I kept thinking about how challenging it was. I wasn’t sure if I could finish.
But having Ellie in the room, I was challenged to keep going. I’m not a quitter and I don’t want to raise one.
So I looked at her and said, “Mama’s really struggling right now. This is hard, but I’m not giving up.”
I want her to see me overcome obstacles. Teach her how to problem solve and be disciplined enough to keep going when it gets tough.

I’ve been feeling off. My schedule has been overcrowded, my routine thrown off, my eating kind of out of control, and my time management has seen better days 🤣
My lack of routine led to a poor self image and now some of my jeans don’t fit 🙈
This morning I thought ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
I rallied the troops (the girls in my accountability group) and we’re starting TODAY. I’m doing an accelerated 100 workout program. Which will mean doing doubles every day from here on out. It’ll be a challenge but definitely doable considering each workout is 30min or less.
Who cares if it’s a Wednesday? It’s time to START. 💪🏼
