Bikes have never been allowed in the park. The original intent was to keep the pegs from tearing up the deck near the coping.

I wanted to share Samuel Gonzales obituary. He passed away and was a big fan of the skatepark and I’m sure some of you knew him, and will miss him.

Here is a picture from the late 70’s of where the skatepark is now. There was a concrete plant, and that little building was a fish store. That’s Wonderland in the background.
