Previously raced in Junior Sprints at Deerfield and Blanket Hill. Welcome to Travis Carothers Racing. This is where you can follow along as Travis moves to the next stage in his racing career. He is now running a 2 Barrell EconoMod. Last year was his first year at the age of 13 running only at Sharon Speedway. He is now starting to branch out and try other tracks as he is more confident and comfor

table in the car. As the videographer - I apologize for all comments as that is my lil guy out there racing way too fast in that big car with guys that have way more experience. I can say that I love to see him come off the track with that big smile but when he is out there my heart is racing and I want it to end as quick as it starts. Travis grew up at racetracks on Saturday nights in North East Ohio. Papa H (JC Hay) raced a 270 Sprint car at Deerfield Raceway and Uncle Brian (Carothers) races a stock car at Sharon Speedway with occasional appearances at various racetracks in NE Ohio and Western PA. He started in a Junior Sprint that was originally driven by his older cousin Jade Rosan at Deerfield Raceway. Racing at several tracks as part of the Young Guns in NE Ohio and Western Pa starting at age 7. Finished his time in the Junior Sprint as the track champion at Blanket Hill Speedway in 2022.

Beautiful day for racing… just not for the 89C.
After a good pill draw, we started 3rd in the heat race. Tried the high side with little success, then found a piece of metal on the track that gave us a flat tire.
The driver came in demanding a tire change so he could go back out. Sorry buddy… it’s a heat race, not the feature. 😂
Then he informed us he was headed to the B Main and started handing out orders like he owned the place. Last time we checked, he was still the kid!
We scrambled to get everything ready, only to find out he wasn’t in the B Main at all—he had transferred and would be starting 18th in the feature.
Naturally, he started the feature by checking the wall to make sure it was still there. Thankfully, it was.
After that, he settled in, found the middle groove, and started making up ground before the motor decided it had other plans and puked.
He got it shut down quickly, so we’re hoping the damage is minimal. We’ll get it back together and be back at it soon. In the meantime, the 02C should be back with the Modifieds in a couple of weeks!
The race footage was good, but this video seemed to fit the night a little better.
