Please help us to honor the life of an incredible woman, Marilyn Kilmer.

Marilyn was Gil's sister-in-law and along with her husband, Cecil, started the Gil Depew Memorial Golf Tournament. Her starting this tournament has allowed us to provide so many scholarships to so many deserving students.

She will be greatly missed.

It is with great sadness but appreciation for a life well lived, the family announces Marilyn Marie (Scott) Kilmer, 84, Nicholson, Pennsylvania went to sleep in Jesus on February 17, 2026. Her final moments were spent peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family and cherished caregivers.

She was born on June 18, 1941 in Hop Bottom, Pa to William and Dorothy Scott. She was one of 12 children including her twin sister, Rosilyn, who preceded her in death shortly after birth. Marilyn often expressed looking forward to that sweet reunion with her twin sister on resurrection day.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 65 years, Cecil Kilmer, and their sons Gary Kilmer, and spouse Robin, Ted Kilmer, and spouse Judy, Bill Kilmer, and spouse Tracee, all of Nicholson PA, Steve Kilmer, and spouse Linda, of New Port Richey, Fl, 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren with a 19th one arriving in August. She is survived by brother-in-law James Barnes, and will be deeply missed by her sister Joan Roberts, both of Montrose, Pa.

Marilyn was the face and voice of their family stone businesses, Glenwood Stone, and SOCK Stone, she built alongside her husband and later her sons. She also helped to organize countless golf tournaments at the golf course they owned, Rock Creek Golf Course. She was a beloved wife, mother, Grandma, Great-Grandma “Cupcake”, and sister. She was a devoted lifelong member of the Tunkhannock, Pa Seventh-day Adventist church where she was actively involved in numerous outreach and charitable activities helping others in the community. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, enjoyed traveling with her husband, and made many great memories on the golf course through the years. In her younger days she could often be found dancing with her sisters and friends and she always loved anything Elvis.

The family wishes to share their heartfelt gratitude to her caregivers from Two Hearts on Call, Hospice of the Sacred Heart, and Nurse “Mary”from Aveanna Home Health, for their loving and compassionate care.

Calling hours for family and friends will be held Friday February 20, 2026, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm and funeral services on Saturday February 21, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Litwin Funeral Home, 91 State Street, Nicholson, PA. Interment to follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marilyn’s memory to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 100 William Street, Dunmore, Pa, 18510.
