Dixie Speedway recap
We got both cars unloaded Saturday and went out for practice, Zack’s transmission broke 2nd lap of practice, and Mike was able to get some good laps in after some setup changes.
With qualifying coming up, Mike let Zack drive his car and ended up qualifying 11th out of 42 cars. That put him starting on the pole for a B-main taking the top 5 into the feature. He was able to lead all 8 laps and win the B-main, running one of the fastest laps times of the whole night, and start 11th in the feature
During the feature, we had a great car, but kept getting stuck on the bottom on the restarts and wasn’t able to make up any spots. After getting tangled up in a couple small wrecks, the rear end ended up breaking and had to pull in on lap 27
With that being said, we need a transmission for the 91 car and have to replace the rear end on the 191 car so if anyone would like to come on board with us or help us out, send us a message!
Hopefully we can get both cars fixed up and ready for the next SCDRA race at Talladega next month!
