Hey guys! Just a friendly reminder: you can't out run a bad diet. Got questions? Let me know!

Runners tip: when's the last time you had a gait analysis to find the right shoe? It's easy to get comfortable with the same shoe but as we progress as runners our muscles and movements change. Do it once per year! Happy running!

Things for runners to keep in mind:
1. Go for a run as soon as you wake up. Don’t login to your work computer to check your email. It will never be just 5 minutes.
2. Take time to finish your coffee before a run. That caffeine will do you good in a long run.
3. Check the weather before you get out. Maybe it’s not the smartest thing to run half marathon on a very, very hot day.
4. Try not to listen a book that will make you very emotional. Listening to the life story of a neurosurgeon who died of lung cancer is not the best choice. Tears that you are holding are making breathing very hard.
5. It is good to push yourself. Make a plan, a decision and go for it! But if you make a decision to run a half marathon stick to your decision. Running 23,24 or 25km can be very challenging on a very hot day.
6. The best investment that you can make are running shoes and a vest. Those things will help you through the crisis that your body will experience.
7. Listen to your body. It’s ok to slow down even walk if your heart rate is getting dangerously high. You are still moving.
8. Exploring is great, but try not to explore when you are tired. You might end up making a wrong turn and then running more km and challenging trail than planned. And yes, cows can give you that “are you crazy” look.
