Shelter Tips & Tricks
This is not just a pile of sticks and wishful thinking.
The orange parachute on the left is being used to create an A-frame shelter, giving covered protection from wind and weather. In front, the branches form an awning to extend the protected space, while the stacked log wall acts as a fire reflector to help push heat back toward the shelter.
Smart shelter building is about using what you have:
parachute for cover
branches for overhead protection
🪵logs for heat reflection
natural materials for structure and insulation 🔥
A shelter does not need to be pretty. It needs to keep you dry, block wind, and help hold heat where you need it most.
