YPT has lost a tremendous friend and brother with the recent passing of Rob Milani. It has taken me over a week to gather the words as losing Rob has been an incredible shock.
Rob started out with me in the early days of YPT when he took over my account with . The incredible equipment company I have used since 1998 when I first opened. A couple of years in, Rob took over and I believe I was one of his first accounts. Since that time Rob grew to be a very close friend and always took incredible care of me throughout my many moves with my business.
From the first days of training out of my house, to the Norwich Ice Rink to the Old Lyme location and then to Niantic and now back to my home studio, Rob was right there for me. He helped me make the right decisions and always tried to save me money because he always knew I liked to be top of the line on everything. Ha! But outside of work he was even better! I loved the long phone calls where we would talk training and sports and he’d keep me up to date on the kids. I’ll never forget when he and his brother Don came all the way down to my mom’s wake when she passed. I’ll remember the nights out in Newport and hanging out at the Summits and his efforts to find me a date! I was so honored to be invited to his wedding to the love of his life Erin! I could go on forever. Rob I will miss your stories and laughs we had and your help and advice. God took you way too soon brother.

Apologies to anyone who has tried to email me at [email protected] or tried to inquire through the website. I was unable to receive emails for several weeks and the website was also down. Things appear to be on the mend now as emails are starting to come back in. A new website will also be up soon. Thanks for all your patience!!

Congrats to YPT’s Sean McCusker on making 2nd team All-State Attack! Sean was the only East Lyme offensive player awarded and stayed injury free the entire season in part because of his offseason work in the weight room.

Way to go Sean and good luck next year at Keene State!

My mom and best friend passed away yesterday at the age of 94. She was an amazing mom and I will miss her very, very much. She was always there for me through thick and thin and I am so proud of her.

Here is an all time great performance of mom dominating the sled push. She trained next to professional athletes and inspired them and other members to work hard and be consistent. Without a doubt it helped her stay with us as long as she did and kept her Parkinson’s at bay. Love you mom! Thank you for always being there!

Gettin back at it at the new YPT Headquarters! Pam’s first day back and she crushing the band assisted push up! We will be off the bands in no time and back to regular push ups. We wanted to show how this is a fantastic way to help you with your push up technique. We start with a thicker band and ween our way to smaller and smaller bands and BOOM💥!! We are back to regular!

Also a great tool to use when rehabbing shoulder injuries!

Notice I mentioned “tightening the jar lid and loosening the jar lid”. When we do@this with our hands when performing a push up, it sets our shoulders up for success by internally to staying the humerus. Give it a try on your next set of push ups!
