HELP WANTED! - BIKE WASHER: Morrissey Cycles is in need of someone to become our designated bike washer.

Pros:
- You are entrusted to wash $100-$10,000+ bicycles
- Paid training, which will give you the skills to wash bikes at Olympic standards
- During times of inclement weather, you will be trained to complete simple bike repairs (flat tires, installing accessories, etc.)
- Flexible schedule
- You can listen to your own music. We don’t care if you have headphones in or are using a Bluetooth speaker
- Arguably more interesting than washing dishes in a restaurant
- Hours available IMMEDIATELY

Cons:
- It’s a very dirty job (but we have coveralls/waders for protection)
- You’re often working by yourself
- You may never leave this job! (Everyone that works here started out as a bike washer and has never left)

You must be at least 16-years-old. Come down to the shop and talk to Steve!

Greetings to our amazing customers,

We greatly appreciate the community entrusting us with repairing all of your bikes. We regret to inform you that many repairs that have been dropped off in the last 2 weeks have been significantly delayed for 2 reasons:

1. Steve, the owner, had a death in his family. This is something he and his family continue to navigate on a daily basis.

2. Our primary wholesaler that we order a large portion of our parts from has had significant shipping delays. They have had issues with their ordering processes and this has resulted in delivery delays for parts needed for repairs. We purposely order parts from them since we typically get overnight delivery. Many parts we ordered last week still haven’t been delivered.

We appreciate the support from the community during this difficult time and appreciate everyone’s grace and patience. We are working as hard as we can to get everyone’s bikes back to them. Please reach out with any questions or concerns at 860-739-4311 or [email protected]

Hey everyone - Reed-bot here, take some time today to say happy birthday to Steven Andrew Morrissey! We did a birthday ride this morning in celebration. Check out Steve riding at around 15 years old! He still makes that face when he corners but definitely doesn’t tuck his sweatpants into his socks anymore.

First official group ride from our new location! We did our typical gravel loop through Raven’s Woods and Rocky Neck which came out to be about 15-16 miles from the parking lot. There will be many more!
