Today was our Prom Dress Rugby game with St. Bonaventure. Even though we had lost there were some bright sides to the game.
First off a huge defensive performance by Maria Halstead, she was hitting girls and stopping them in their tracks. She even got the crowd riled up after a few big hits she laid out. Another shout out to Vanessa Dunn and welcoming her back to Fox U Rugby. Vanessa, who after a year's absence from the game, got back into the rhythm of things and continued off where she left off. Third shout out goes to Michelle Hoover, she just joined our rugby team this semester and this was her first game. She played well for just starting off and will be a beneficial asset to the team come our Fall Season. Finally our last shout out goes to Jackie Brokas who scored our lone try of the day. After receiving a pass she ran it up the field throwing some stiff arms in the process and breaking several tackles and finally reaching the try zone and scoring.
Tomorrow Fox U Rugby will host their Get Lucky Tournament, it starts at 11. We hope to see everyone there!
