🚨🚨 BIG NEWS FROM 16 ATHLETICS! 🚨🚨

Today marks an exciting new chapter for baseball in Niagara Falls.

In 2023, Can USA Sports brought the Niagara Falls Americans to Sal Maglie Stadium, taking a chance on bringing collegiate summer baseball back to our city. We want to sincerely thank Robbie and Mark for their commitment and for laying the foundation.

Today, we’re proud to announce that 16 Athletics has officially purchased the Niagara Falls Americans from Can USA Sports.

This is more than a change in ownership it’s the beginning of a new vision. We have an exciting plan for the future of this organization, and we’re ready to get to work immediately.

We’re also thrilled to announce that CJ Gonzales has been named the General Manager and Head Coach of the Niagara Falls Americans for the 2027 season.

CJ brings a proven track record in player development, leadership, and program building, with experience coaching athletes from the youth level all the way to the collegiate and professional ranks. His passion for developing complete student-athletes and building a culture of accountability, discipline, and excellence makes him the perfect person to lead this program.

As a player, CJ began his collegiate career at SUNY Niagara, helping the Thunderwolves to an NJCAA World Series appearance before continuing at Division II East Stroudsburg University, where he became a key member of the bullpen. He later signed a professional contract with the Billings Mustangs of the MLB Partnered Pioneer League.

CJ’s coaching career began at SUNY Niagara as Pitching Coach, where he helped guide the program to multiple NJCAA World Series appearances. Most recently, he has served as General Manager, Showcase Coach, and Pitching Coordinator for PowerCity Athletics, spending the past three years helping countless athletes reach the next level.

To our loyal fans, sponsors, players, and the Niagara Falls community thank you for your continued support of the Americans. We have big plans for this franchise, for Sal Maglie Stadium, and for the future of baseball in Niagara Falls.

The goal is simple: Build a championship organization, create an incredible fan experience, and make Sal Maglie Stadium one of the premier destinations for collegiate summer baseball.

Here is the process to using our app, we have received a lot of calls asking us how to use it. We do not have as many camps and clinics as we did last year and spots in our current group clinics are filling up fast. This is the only way to book into Coach CJs pitching, Coach Beckers hitting, Coach Kyle’s S and C and Coach Christian’s speed and agility.
