AC Connecticut Official page of AC Connecticut. "Connecticut's USL League Two & USLW League Soccer Franchises." A.C.

AC Connecticut joined the USLโ€™s League Two (formerly PDL) for the 2012 season, becoming the only soccer franchise based in Connecticut. Along with a menโ€™s PDL team, AC Connecticut will work closely with local travel programs and provide the areaโ€™s best regional soccer program involving the best local soccer ambassadors and coaches, using the best facilities and focusing on the technical, tactical, physical and psychosocial components of the game to improve our players. Players will have a distinct pathway, through Developmental (U9-U11) โ€“ Regional teams (U12 โ€“ U19 AC Connecticut) โ€“ PDL (Mens AC Connecticut). The USL League Two is seen as a โ€˜shop windowโ€™ for professional clubs looking to discover and identify aspiring professional players who may enter the MLS Super Draft in future years. Many of the players currently playing Major League Soccer and elsewhere began their careers in the PDL when they were competing as an elite college or high school athlete. Over the past three years, 111 players with PDL experience have been drafted in the MLS SuperDraft, which is more than 70 percent of the selections. Connecticut games will showcase the top level of amateur soccer in Connecticut and are the most-exciting and affordable form of family entertainment during the summer months.

Congratulations to Luke McAvoy of our U14 ECNL Boys team for being invited to the upcoming U.S. Soccer Boys Talent ID Center (IDCs) for the regionโ€™s top 2012-born talents.

IDCโ€™s are a critical element to U.S. Soccerโ€™s Talent Identification Plan and are designed to identify and evaluate top talents for Youth National Teams, while accelerating their development in a challenging environment.

U.S. Soccer IDCs are designed to replicate Youth National Team camps, aimed at creating an environment where players take responsibility for their own development free from distractions, with a clear pathway to the Youth
National Teams.

Well done, Luke! Weโ€™re excited to watch you make the most of your opportunity. ๐Ÿ”ตโšช๏ธ
