Physical therapy clears athletes to return.
I make sure they’re actually ready.

First, we RESTORE—strength, movement, symmetry—using objective data.

Then we DEVELOP—speed, power, deceleration, and durability.

Finally, we PERFORM—testing real sport demands so there’s no guesswork.

Your knees may not be the problem…

Most pickleball players 45+ lack:
❌ Hip stability
❌ Ankle mobility
❌ Deceleration control

Which means the knees absorb WAY too much stress during lateral movement.

At Coach Hos Performance Therapy, we focus on:

✅ Movement quality
✅ Strength
✅ Longevity
✅ Playing pain-free

Stop just “stretching.”
Start training smarter.

Two of the biggest issues we commonly see after knee surgery:

1. Loss of ankle mobility and dorsiflexion
2. Poor neuromuscular control of the knee, hip, and trunk

1. Kaehler Core Column Anterior Tib Raises (Dorsiflexion)

Why they help:

After meniscus surgery, many athletes develop:

* Reduced ankle dorsiflexion
* Altered gait mechanics
* Quad avoidance patterns
* Reduced shock absorption

Strengthening the anterior tibialis helps restore the ability to:

✅ Decelerate the foot during walking and running

✅ Improve ankle dorsiflexion control

✅ Reduce compensatory pronation

✅ Improve landing mechanics

✅ Enhance knee-over-toe positioning during squatting and lunging

2. RNT Split Lunges

(RNT = Reactive Neuromuscular Training)

These are one of the best exercises for teaching proper knee alignment.

Why they help after meniscus surgery

Most post-op athletes demonstrate:

* Knee valgus
* Hip drop
* Weight shifting
* Loss of frontal plane control

The athlete must:

✅ Activate glute medius

✅ Activate external rotators

✅ Improve foot tripod stability

✅ Improve core stiffness

✅ Control femoral position over tibia

📘 RETURN 2 PLAY ROADMAP E-book description

A Data-Driven Guide to Safe, Confident, and Earned Return to Sport

The missing link between “cleared by PT” and true game readiness.

Most athletes are told when they can return to play very few are shown how to earn it.

The RETURN 2 PLAY ROADMAP is a phase-by-phase, criteria-based guide designed for athletes, coaches, parents, and clinicians who want clarity, confidence, and objective proof throughout the return-to-sport process.

This is not a timeline-based rehab manual. It’s a decision-making framework built on movement quality, force data, symmetry, and psychological readiness.

🔍 What This E-Book Gives You

This e-book walks you through the entire Return-to-Play continuum, broken into clear phases with:
✔️ Objective benchmarks for progression
✔️ Coach-driven questions that guide safe decisions
✔️ Example workouts for each phase
✔️ Movement standards & red flags to watch for
✔️ Exercise resources with direct YouTube links
✔️ Technology integration to validate readiness, not guess it

🧭 What’s Inside the Roadmap

✔️ Phase-Based Progressions
• 3–7 Months: Capacity, control, confidence
• 7–10 Months: Controlled reactivity and force absorption
• 10–15 Months: Sport-specific integration and earned return

✔️ Example Workouts in Each Phase
• Strength reinforcement sessions
• Plyometric prep and progressions
• Agility and deceleration drills
• Sport-transfer movement examples

✔️ Coach & Athlete Checklists
• Strength symmetry standards
• Hop and jump benchmarks
• Biomechanics and fatigue screening
• Psychological readiness considerations

✔️ Resource Library
• Linked exercise demos (YouTube)
• Clear coaching cues
• Common mistakes and regressions

The RETURN 2 PLAY ROADMAP gives you the structure, language, and tools to make smarter, safer, and more confident return-to-sport decisions backed by performance data and real-world coaching experience.

Working with High School and College athletes over the last 25 years as a strength and conditioning coach, I started to see an epidemic of young athletes suffering physically and mentally from lower body injuries in sports, in particular the ACL.

I also realized that there was an enormous gap between leaving physical therapy and returning to play after ACL surgery.

My program is designed to continue where physical therapy left off so you can safely continue improving in areas such as strength, power, conditioning, and confidence to RETURN 2 PLAY.

Coming back from ACL surgery?

Don’t just recover RETURN 2 PLAY
🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Proven training. Real results.
