Two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation, in 1865 Juneteenth became a federal holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.

Juneteenth celebrations feature African American cultural events like lectures, exhibitions, picnics, rodeos, street fairs, cookouts, family reunions, reenactments, and blues festivals. Traditional red foods and drinks, such as red velvet cake and strawberry soda, symbolize resilience and joy.

Today, we honor the past and commit to collective healing and community strength.

We are closed today, Friday, June 19 and will reopen on Monday, June 22nd.

Tell Me S’more was the most heartwarming event! ✨

Tonight, we gathered around the campfire and shared our stories. We spent the evening junk journaling, getting creative, and reflecting through storytelling while enjoying some delicious s’mores.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped create such a warm, welcoming space.

We’re grateful to National Center for Advocacy and Recovery for partnering with us for this memorable evening, and we can’t wait to see what stories we’ll share next!

We've all been touched by addiction in one way or another. The loss or struggle of a friend, relative, loved one, coworker, or neighbor.

Often people suffer quietly and alone because the stigma of addiction prevents them from reaching out for help - and this shouldn't be!

The walk is a community gathering to remember lives lost to addiction, reduce stigmas, & celebrate those who have achieved long-term recovery. Join the Recovery Community Center and walk with the RCC.

Date: Saturday August 1, 2026 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: Franklin Firemen's Pavilion, 46 High Street, Franklin, NJ
