The Donald Hicks Basketball Day Camp "A Thinking Exercise in Basketball" The Donald Hicks Basketball Day Camp is held annually. It always starts on the first Monday after the 4th of July. The 2027 camp runs July 5 - July 9.

The 2017 camp will be held July 10th-14th at Grace Reformed Church in Newton. The fee for camp is $100 per child. That fee covers breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. The campers also receive a t-shirt and a goodie bag with school supplies and other treats our sponsors donate. We teach basketball drills, review math and reading to minimize summer learning loss and encourage strong character and sportsmanship. Our hours of operation are officially 8am-3pm, but we try to be accommodating, so campers can be dropped off as early as 7am and picked up no later than 4 pm. Donald Hicks Basketball Day Camp is celebrating 25 years, and we’re making it bigger than ever. We’re inviting former campers and community supporters to sponsor a child’s tuition and help us welcome more kids into this powerful experience.
