For anyone wondering how the pond is doing, Josh Tucker was there last night and was able to video. The first one is of the deeper end and the second one is at the shallow end. I would say it’s a success with the Striper fry we put in about 3 weeks ago. Thank you all who helped make this possible as you all did an awesome job bringing stripers into the facility this year so we could spawn them out!!

Another good turnout for our first member’s tournament.
Thanks to all that participated, I think we’re just going to record the weigh in tomorrow and post it afterwards, service is very poor there and quality of the feed seems to not be good.

The time has come that we will be shutting the hatchery down for the spawning season. We will be doing a work detail this weekend and we could use some help with cleaning and sanitizing the tanks . If you would like to help us do this, we will be meeting at the hatchery this Saturday 6/6/26 at 10:00 am. If we can get enough volunteers to help it should only take a couple of hours. Anyone that wants to help and you are unsure of where the hatchery is, please let us know and we will give you the directions to it.

Also anyone who borrowed a Striper tube from the club it must be returned this Saturday as we need to clean and sanitize them also so they will be ready for next year.

Update on the fry that was taken down to the pond in Lancaster County. Josh Tucker has seen some fingerlings in it this evening. As soon as he is able to get a video of them we will post it. He was unable to do this evening due to it being windy and there were too many ripples in the water.

We can’t thank everyone enough for helping make this happen!!! We had approximately 35+ stripers brought into the hatchery this year. Now,not all of them were viable for spawning as some were immature and some were already spawned out. Out of the ones that we were able to spawn, they produced approximately 800,000 fry. Some were taken to the pond, and the remaining went into the Raystown Lake in several locations. Any questions please direct them to Jim Tucker at 814-935-6444.

We just introduced this big female to 4 males. They should spawn Sunday into Monday. Thanks everyone for donating fish to the hatchery.
We have a go fund me for the hatchery if anyone would like to donate. We are currently looking to buy more striper tubes. Thanks in advance.
