!Monday Minute!

With the calendar turning to June, another spring turkey season is in the books.

We'd like to congratulate all of the successful hunters this season and thank those who chose Wright's Sport Shop as their reporting station. We had the privilege of checking in 153 birds this spring, with some truly impressive birds harvested throughout the season.
Congratulations to Bryan Falconer, winner of our Turkey Pool. Bryan swept both categories, taking top honors with a bird weighing 23.2 pounds and sporting a 12.5-inch beard (double bearded!).

As we move into the summer months, our summer store hours are now in effect:

Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Sunday: Closed

We'll be back to seven days a week when fall rolls around.

Tomorrow’s the day.

Alarms will go off early, coffee will be poured in the dark, and trucks will be heading down dirt roads before the sun even thinks about coming up.

Some will hear that first gobble right away… others will have to work for it. Either way, that’s the hunt.

If you come up short on anything, we’ll be here at 8 to get you squared away.

Monday Minute — Turkey Season Prep

Turkey season is right around the corner, and we’re excited to have Dave Smith Decoys as a fresh addition here at the shop. Known for their unmatched realism and lifelike posture, DSD decoys are built to bring birds in close when it matters most.

While you’re getting geared up, don’t forget — both our Youth and Adult Turkey Pools are live:

Youth Pool:
• Free to enter
• Youth Weekend birds only
• Heaviest bird wins a fan mount from Dead Heads Taxidermy

Adult Pool:
• $10 entry
• Runs the full season
• 75% heaviest bird / 25% longest beard
• Birds must be checked in at the shop

Both our Youth and Adult Turkey Pools are officially underway.

Youth Pool:
• Free to enter
• Birds must be harvested during Youth Weekend
• Heaviest bird wins a fan mount from our friends at Dead Heads Taxidermy

Adult Pool:
• $10 entry
• Runs the full turkey season
• Heaviest bird takes 75% of the pot
• Longest beard takes 25%
• All birds must be checked in here at the shop

We’ve also got new turkey gear landing almost daily, so stop in, get signed up, and make sure you’re dialed in for opening day.

It’s the perfect place to gather with fellow hunters and support the mission of the National Wild Turkey Federation — conserving habitat, growing turkey populations, and protecting our hunting heritage for future generations.

🎆 New Year Hours Update 🎆

The Shop will be closed New Year’s Day through Tuessday the 6th while we tackle some shop projects and wrap up year-end inventory. We’ll be back at it 8am on Wednesday the 7th.

We truly appreciate everyone’s understanding and support while we take a few days to get the shop reset, shelves restocked, and everything lined up, so we can keep taking care of folks and getting them what they need for the seasons ahead.
