CMU Camp 2026 🤼

These wrestlers and coaches had a blast at Central Michigan University and are getting ready to head home after an incredible few days away!

Camp was filled with team bonding, conditioning, new competition, challenges, and plenty of laughs. CMU is always one of our favorite camps because it gives wrestlers opportunities to grow on and off the mat while creating memories they’ll never forget.

One of the highlights was the team coordinating outfits and singlets to surprise the coaches and keep everyone laughing throughout the week. That’s what it’s all about: becoming stronger, building confidence, and enjoying the journey.

A huge thank you to Lake Erie Wrestling Club for helping cover camp costs for wrestlers who supported our fundraisers, booking hotel accommodations, providing snacks, and making this experience possible. 💙

Thank you to Coach Nadeau and Coach McKinney for their commitment to this program year-round, and thank you to our parents for trusting us with your wrestlers, donating food and drinks, and helping with transportation. 💪🏻🐻

A great day of wrestling at the John Glenn Duals! 🌟🤼

Our wrestlers competed hard, supported one another, and represented Jefferson with pride throughout the day. Off-season opportunities like these help our athletes continue to grow, gain valuable mat time, and prepare for the upcoming season.

A special thank you to Coach Shaun O’Hern for leading and coaching our athletes today, and to Coach Nadeau supporting the team.

We are proud of the effort, sportsmanship, and determination our wrestlers displayed throughout the day.

Wrestling season never really ends! 🐻🤼‍♂️

Last week, several of our wrestlers competed at the John Glenn Duals, where they were coached by Coach Shaun O’Hern and supported by Coach Nadeau as they continued to gain valuable experience against new opponents and challenges.

We are proud of these athletes for dedicating part of their summer to improving their skills, technique, and confidence on the mat. Keep up the great work, Bears! 💪🔥

Today we hosted our very first Jefferson Wrestling Golf Outing, and we are blown away by the support. With 90 attendees and 20 teams, this first year was truly one for the books! ⛳️🏌️

Thank you to everyone who attended, sponsored, donated, and supported our team. A special thank you to our 30 sponsors whose generosity helped make this event possible.

Because of your support, we can begin making improvements to our wrestling room, mats, apparel, and opportunities for our athletes.

We had such a fun time that we already booked the same weekend for next year! Thank you for supporting the Jefferson Wrestling team. 💙🤼

Such a bittersweet day. 💙🐻🎓

Today, our seniors graduate, and while we are incredibly proud of the young men and women they have become, it also brings many emotions as this chapter comes to a close.

One thing we always say is that the wrestling room door never closes. They will always be welcome back to help in the room, continue being role models, support our team at Bear Attack tournaments, and remain part of our wrestling family.

As they walk across the stage tonight, we’ll be cheering them on every step of the way. We hope they know just how proud we are to be their coaches. Some of these seniors have been part of this program since their Bear Attack days, and it’s hard to believe how quickly the years have gone by.

We are so proud of you! 💙🐻

🐻💙💛 BIG THINGS AHEAD FOR BEAR COUNTRY 💙💛🐻

Congratulations to Jefferson senior Morgan Simota on her commitment to Rochester Christian University to continue both her academic and wrestling career! 🤼‍♀️🎓

Morgan has been a part of Jefferson Wrestling since 6th grade and has always shown dedication, hard work, determination, and a constant drive to improve as an athlete. Her commitment to the sport has led to an incredible career that included 3 appearances at the MHSAA Girls State Finals. This past season, Morgan earned All-State honors by placing 4th in the state — becoming the first girl in Jefferson history to place at the state finals. 🏆

We are incredibly proud of Morgan and everything she has accomplished in Bear Country. Rochester Christian University is gaining an outstanding athlete, leader, and competitor. Once a Bear, always a Bear! 💪🐻

This golf outing helps us give back to a program that has given so much. We’re working to update our wrestling room with new equipment, a TV for match review, an updated Hall of Fame, mats, and more so our athletes have a space they’re proud to call home. 🐻
