Unlike other bicycle shops that may be a bit pushy in trying to sell you something you don’t need or want or try to confuse you with a lot of unexplained bicycle jargon when all you want are working gears, we are here:

-offer cost effective solutions
-and keep your pedals turning! Most of you know me as the guy behind Freewheel Bicycle Shop. Since I'm currently deployed overseas, I'm obviously not turning many wrenches these days.

Instead, I've been filling my downtime with a project that's been on my bucket list for years—learning to create animated music videos.

After months of late nights, it's finally finished.

It's called "USAF Tall Tale" It's funny, emotional, and inspired by the ups and downs of military life.

After 22 years of service, I’ll be deploying once again. It’s never easy stepping away from the shop, especially knowing we’ll be a man down while I’m gone.

I don’t usually post about my family online, but today I’m making an exception.
Some of you may not know this, but I’m a father. I normally keep that part of my life private.
A few years ago, my daughter and I started a homemade storytelling game—just a binder, some dice, rough sketches, and imagination.
Most parent-kid projects last an afternoon.
Ours lasted years.
My daughter created a character named Moonlight who is a fox girl that is also a magical baker and we built a strange little world of adventures. Every time we played, the story grew bigger.
Eventually we realized something…
This might actually make a book series.
So we turned our game into a real project.
Strange Adventures – Chapter 1 releases on Kindle March 10, 2026 (paperback coming soon).

From solid shape… to showroom shine. 🔥
This classic tandem came into the shop already decent — but we don’t do “decent.” We do dialed. Every bolt checked, bearings serviced, drivetrain tuned, wheels trued, polish brought back to life. Attention to detail from the first wrench turn to the final wipe of polish.

Seeing the customer send me a photo once it made it home — smiling and grateful — that’s the part that makes it all worth it. 🙌

Restorations aren’t just about bikes… they’re about preserving stories, memories, and future miles.
If you’ve got something sitting in the garage that deserves a second life, let’s bring it back better than ever. More restoration projects coming soon. 👊

He’s part of the city.
I’ve known him for 15+ years — always on the move. Some years are better than others, but he keeps going. His bike has always been his transportation, and even when it was beyond saving, he still wanted to fix it.
Sometimes the right repair is a fresh start. So this one’s on us.
Helping hands and donations from people like you make moments like this possible. Since 1995, we’ve been able to help hundreds of people in similar ways — quietly, respectfully, and with heart.
