Newport News Explorer Post 224 This program is geared towards young people with an interest in a career in law enforcement.

Nationally, over 33,000 Explorers and 8,425 adult volunteers participate in the Law Enforcement Exploring program and we have re-established the Newport News post and residents between the ages of 14-20, with an interest in law enforcement, will have the opportunity to participate. The program offers participants the awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences

, competition and other activities. The program will also help promote personal growth through character development, respect for the rules of the law, physical fitness, good citizenship and patriotism.
