I am finally back teaching at School House Wellness Center and I could not be more thankful. Restorative yoga tonight was amazing! Thankful for those of you who joined me!! Let's do it again next week at 6pm!!
Here are 3 poses that we did to unwind and prep for the week ahead;
1. Reclined Restorative Cobblerโs Pose โญ๏ธ
A gentle, supported hip opener that invites the body to soften. This pose can help release tension through the hips, inner thighs, and lower back while opening the chest and encouraging slower, deeper breathing. Perfect for settling the nervous system and transitioning into rest.
2. Side Stretch Deer Pose โญ๏ธ
A beautiful way to create space through the side body, ribs, hips, and spine. The gentle lateral stretch can help release tension around the waist and shoulders while encouraging fuller, more expansive breathing. A lovely pose for finding softness without forcing flexibility.
3. Legs Up the Wall + Tree Variation โญ๏ธ
This gentle inversion encourages the body to shift into a more restful state while giving the legs a chance to decompress. Elevating the legs may support circulation and ease feelings of heaviness or fatigue. Adding the Tree variation creates a gentle one-sided opening through the hip and inner thigh while inviting mindful awareness.
Sometimes the most powerful practice is simply giving your body permission to slow down. ๐ค
