One thing about this lefty named Jayden Alvarez is the determination factor he posses to get better and better each day. I've seen him grow over the last year and needless to say he is an absolute stud. A batters worst nightmare on the mound this guy has it all!!!

Did i also mention he can swing it too and run a 6.7 60 time average. What more could you want from a two way lefty that can hit for himself and lead off. One of our pro pitchers Hunter Peck took one look at his video live and and said who's the lefty gotta work with him he has a lot of potential speaks volumes!!! Woodside highs very own is making a name for himself and we are proud to say his home is Vertex Performance!!!

VXP Baseball Fall Season starts this weekend with our wooden bat tournament located at war memorial stadium in Newport News. Our guys had an awesome summer season and ready to continue success into the fall. Please come out and support our guys as we strive to get better and better each day and continue to reach our peak potential!

First game today starts at 4pm against ODH 15 U then tomorrow at 10am against Snyder Bucks-Higgins. All game played at War memorial and updated schedule play for more games are to come this weekend. VXP Baseball top notch ball club with a culture and drive like no other!!!

Increasing velocity has so many different components that need to be enhanced and coordinated in order to throw FAST!

You must move your body in synchronized fashion with controlled and VIOLENT movements. It’s tough to do, but with quality repetitions under the guidance of professionals we can help you accomplish your goals.

Great practice today as we were able to get back on the field and open things up a bit! Knocked off some rust and had a good defensive practice. Few weeks of prep left before we play in our first fall tournament!

Things are heating up in the VXP SPORTS LAB! Our VXP Performance staff is putting together a Throwing Program that will be designed to build arm strength, efficient movements, power, & increased VELOCITY!

It will take time and will not be built over night. But if you are willing to do the little things and build a solid foundation, we can help you improve your throwing mechanics and add some 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥behind your throws!

⚾️⭐️OUTFIELDER LUKE CHRISTIE FAST & STRONG⚾️⭐️

The picture doesn’t really need a caption at all! Jesus Christ look at the POWER & STRENGTH in his shoulders and arm! The guy could get paid to be a Manican for a Physical Therapy Doctoral Program in an Anatomy or Kinesiology course!

And he’s no slouch on the baseball diamond! In fact he’s our FASTEST and most explosive athlete on our team. He ran an astonishing 1.57s (10 yard split) on the laser and in multiple trials he stayed around 1.62 and below!

Oh and his work in practice with Coach D and with specialized hitting training with Coach Jahleel Sewer in private sessions, Outfield work & Strength & Conditioning with Coach Biv, he’s evolved into a STARTER & a staple in our LINEUP with power potential, extra base hits, ability to earn walks with great plate discipline, and with improved base running he’s now a THREAT to steal Bags at will!

Hard work, Patience, Dedication, and Trusting the Process has paid off for this guy big time! Keep grinding brother!

VXP New Prospect Alert!!!

We would like to welcome out newest VXP family member to the team Joseph Harris!! Standing 5'7" tall weighing 170lbs Joseph has the build, baseball IQ and raw talent to be one of the top players in his class hands down! Bethel high school graduating class of 2024 Joseph has been playing ball for 10 plus years now and has a natural love for the game.

He is an all purpose utility type of guy playing 1st/P/OF but is a coaches type of player willing to play anywhere best fitting the team! When asked what he thinks about the game his response was "I love the game, competing and brotherhood the game of baseball offers and love everyone out trying to achieve the same goal of one day being in a major league clubhouse!" Joseph will be one of the top up and coming guys out of hampton roads trust that and on major college and pro radars as well!! Welcome to the VXP family!!!

The VXP Sports Lab continues to grow and expand and improve our coaching, systems, & now have some NEW TOYS to help our athletes take their games to new heights and increase their numbers as we develop and fine tune skills!

Heavy bats, heavy balls, drive line balls, short bats, radar guns, electronic timing, multiple diamond kinetic units for pitchers and hitters to capture key metrics. It’s about to get REAL!

Check out VXP Prospect Sean Stewart getting some work in to enhance his switch hitting abilities with one of our new coaches Mikey Delgado! He’s a former Norfolk State University Baseball player and a dynamic coach!

🔥VXP BASEBALL PROSPECT ALERT⚾️🔥

ODU Outfielder, Dominic Claxton came into the VXP SPORTS LAB today & began his journey to achieve his peak potential by starting his baseball skills and performance evaluation. Natural & fluid athlete with unbelievable quickness, and smooth actions. He’s been recorded at 6.3s in the 60 yard dash, and it’s clear he’s capable of that by running an effortless 1.79s in a 10 yard split on the laser.

Throwing velocity was 85mph, & an initial exit velocity of 84mph with a wood bat. Mechanics are solid and well rounded. Fine tuning his Biomechanics and learning nuances will be key to getting him into the 90mph Club and it won’t take LONG!
