History was made in Singapore. 🌎🌊
At the 2026 IVF World Championships, Team USA brought its first-ever Para V6 crew to the world stage—and athletes from NAC’s Makapo Aquatics Project were right in the middle of it.
Team USA earned 24 medals, with para-athletes bringing home seven—including three golds. NAC paddlers Janet Wu, Efrain Bacerra Jr., Ryan Clary, Rich Austin and Mellisa Davis-Warden represented Team USA after months of training, racing and putting in the work here at Newport Aquatic Center.
But this story is about more than medals.
It’s about creating opportunities for adaptive athletes, competitors becoming teammates, countries working together, and showing what can happen when more people are given the chance to get on the water.
And for NAC Makapo, this is just the beginning.
