Gun rights advocates are celebrating a "huge" legal win after a judge ruled a fi****ms restriction unconstitutional.

"This is the first time in 92 years that any gun owner has been able to do this."

Gun Owners of America and Silencer Shop have notified the Trump administration that they plan to begin transfers without the federal registration and approval process.

Just after midnight Thursday, two gun owners walked out of a Texas fi****ms dealer with silencers without first completing the process that has governed such transfers for generations, according to Gun Owners of America.

The Justice Department is not expected to appeal the decision, according to Rep. Andrew Clyde.

ATF has proposed two rules today to reduce burden and update outdated processes. One (1140-AA63) would streamline photo and fingerprint steps for NFA applications and GCA license applications. The other (1140-AA80) would allow NFA items that fall out of government contracts to be registered instead of destroyed.
