What do our clients do at Hybrid Fitness? Here’s a sample…⬆️.
prioritizes our semi-private program for building strength, stability and aerobic capacity because it is tailored to her individual needs. She also mixes in our Hybrid Circuit classes for some high-intensity cardio & general fitness…a perfect balance!
Her process started with a functional movement screen and a goal setting meeting to get clear on the purpose behind her training…in this case, a combination of building muscle, body re-comp, cardiovascular health and most recently athletic performance goals on the ski slopes. With that info, we write the program and coach the process…the client puts in the hard work 💪!
A few milestones and highlights💪:

Crushing the versa climber.

Sled drag / sled march: 300lbs+.

Suspended, horizontal pull-ups!

Kettlebell front squat: 70lbs.

First successful black diamond run 🎿.

In this particular case, Hybrid client trains in a semi-private setting with specific goals of building strength, learning complex movements like the hang clean and re-building a hamstring to run distance again comfortably and without pain.
We achieve this through individualized programming focused on progressive loading, quality movement and thoughtful mobility exercises. And in this particular case…no cardio 🎉!
A few milestones 💪:

RFE split squat: 60lbs each hand.

Sled march: 245lbs.

Hang cleans: 100lbs.

Goblet squat: 75lbs.

Science says the answer is likely ‘Yes’. Listen to the audio clip, 📢. Another win for purposeful visualization…of both the potential for positive outcomes and negative outcomes.
Play the video tape forward in your life and visualize the body type and lifestyle you’d like…mobile, energized and active…or hurting, tired and stationary. Your daily & weekly behavior will either be deposits or withdrawals towards that body type and lifestyle…but you already know this…invest wisely!
One thing we love and respect about Hybrid members is their willingness to invest their time, energy and money into heathy behaviors right now, in the present, for future benefit and reward they can’t yet experience… 🧠. We’re very fortunate to have a gym full of people like that 🙏.

Climb 5,280 feet uninterrupted on the Versa Climber 🤬.
Bonus if you attempt it twice this month…test and re-test if you will.
Extra bonus if you attempt it once per week this month 🏆.
If you’ve resolved to challenge your comfort zone, elevate your standards and get fit this year…this could be a great challenge to accept. Remember, if it was easy, everyone would do it. Write your time on the white board so we can recognize your hard work 💪!

The final results are in for Hybrid’s October training challenge! Our friend Gail () takes home 🥇 gold for a first place finish with 6515 MEPs…what an impressive showing!Congrats to Gail, she is an absolute force in the pool and at Hybrid and led the challenge the entire way!
The challenge was scored using effort points (MEPs) based on both the intensity and the duration of your workouts using heart rate monitors calibrated for each member.
Thank you to all the Hybrid members who joined our challenge. You didn’t just participate, you competed…your effort, intensity and encouragement pushed and pulled the best out of all of us.
The intention of this challenge was to help you all elevate your training standards and move outside your comfort zone at some point…and that’s precisely what we saw inside and outside of Hybrid.
It was a pleasure watching you all find new levels of strength, intensity and enjoyment from exercise and our training process. We appreciate you…cheers to this one and to the next one!

Each member that achieves at least 1300 MEPS (MyZone Effort Points) is entered into a drawing to win a gift card to a great Seacoast small business.
Secondly, the Hybrid member who achieves the most MEPS wins another great prize.
What are MEPS? They’re effort points scored based on the intensity and duration of your workouts whether that’s strength training, Hybrid Circuits, running, hiking.The MyZone heart rate belt is one of many great tools we use to track health metrics.
GRAY Zone (50-59% maxHR) = 1 MEP/minute.

BLUE Zone (60-69% maxHR) = 2 MEPS/minute.

GREEN Zone (70-79% maxHR) = 3 MEPS/minute.

YELLOW Zone (80-89% maxHR) = 4 MEPS/minute.

RED Zone (90-100% maxHR) = 4 MEPS/minute.
