It is with Great Pleasure and Enormous Pride that I Announce that #5, Madison Massaro-Cook was Nominated and Selected for Connecticut's All State Volleyball Team for the 2020 Season. Her hard work in the 4 years as a part of The Newington Girls Volleyball Program paid off. We are so Proud of you! Congratulations Maddie !!!!

**Senior Spotlight**
#5 Madison Massaro-Cook

Madison has been a member of the NHS Girls Varsity Volleyball team for 4years. She has also played golf for NHS for 4years and is a member of the Chamber Choir. Madison has been recognized as an All Conference Player for both volleyball and golf. Additionally, she has earned high honors every quarter during high school. She has committed to play volleyball at Central Connecticut State University next year, where she will major in Biomolecular Science and minor in Psychology. Madison hopes to become an Emergency Room Doctor. As A Co-Captain, Maddie has been our 911 Go to for the attack this year. We couldn't think of anyone better to take care of the kill on the 3rd ball or our health as an ER Doc !!!

**SENIOR SPOTLIGHT**
#2 Michaela Lyons
Michaela has been a member of the NHS Girls Volleyball team for four years and has also played volleyball for CT Juniors in the off season for three years. In addition, she played for the NHS Golf team as a freshman and has been a manager for the NHS Girls Basketball team for two years. Michaela is taking AP art this year as she hopes to attend the University of Hartford to pursue a degree in Entrepreneurial Business and Photography.
Michaela's laser lightshow serve and sparkly personality has decorated our program!
