📣 NYSA Fall Softball Update – 6U/T-Ball & 10U

We wanted to give our families an update as we finalize teams for the fall season.

Unfortunately, we did not receive enough registrations to field our 6U/T-Ball or 10U teams this season. 🥎💔 We know this is disappointing, and we truly appreciate every family who registered and was ready to play with NYSA.

Parents of registered 6U/T-Ball and 10U players can expect me to begin reaching out directly regarding your player and next steps.

Our goal is always to give as many kids as possible the opportunity to get on the field, and we hate that we weren't able to make these two age divisions happen this fall.

Thank you for continuing to support NYSA while we grow. 💗🥎 We’re building this organization one season, one team, and one player at a time—and we hope to see these divisions back stronger next season!

We are down to the last few days, I NEED to get rosters turned in and I dont want to have to turn any kiddos away. We are in need of tball kiddos, 8U, and 10U. If a 12U wants to play, we have the space.

🚨 FINAL DAYS TO REGISTER! 🥎

This is it! Registration for NYSA Fall Softball is almost over, and we need your help filling our teams!

Here's what we still need:
🥎 8U: We need 5–6 more players
🥎 10U: We need 8 more players
🥎 12U: We need JUST 1 MORE PLAYER!

Even though our home complex is being renovated, NYSA is still playing softball this fall! We'll be practicing at alternate locations until the complex is ready, and our teams will compete through the South Central Girls Softball League.

If you've been waiting to sign up, now is the time! Every player matters, and we would love to give as many girls as possible the opportunity to play this fall.

🥎 Help Us Keep Softball Going This Fall! 🥎

While our home complex is undergoing improvements, NYSA isn't going anywhere. 💙

This fall is about keeping our players together, continuing to develop their skills, and making sure youth softball stays strong until we're back home.

Right now, we need just a few more players to make these teams happen:

🥎 8U: 3 registered (need at least 9)
🥎 10U: 1 registered (need at least 9)
🥎 12U: 8 registered (we need just ONE more!)

We know this season will look a little different without our home facility, but it's only temporary. Our fields will be back, and when they are, we want to have a strong league ready to call them home.

If you've been thinking about signing up, now is the perfect time. Every player who registers helps keep youth softball growing in our community.

🥎 FALL SOFTBALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! 🥎

The wait is over! Registration for the 2026 NYSA Fall Softball Season is officially OPEN!

We want to be transparent about what this fall season will look like.

As many of you know, construction is still underway at the Newcastle Softball Complex. At this time, the complex is expected to remain closed until late September—and that timeline could change depending on construction progress.

The season will still begin in early September!

Since our home fields won't be available right away, teams will need to find alternate locations for practices until the complex reopens.

There are public practice areas available at Lions Park and Veterans Park. If your team would like to try to reserve one of those spaces, you can contact Newcastle City Hall and ask the operator to add your team to the practice schedule. Please keep in mind these are public parks, so availability isn't guaranteed.

When we started Newcastle Youth Sports Association, our goal was simple—to make sure our girls always had a place to play. That hasn't changed. This temporary setback isn't going to stop us from providing a fun, competitive, and positive softball experience for our athletes. We'll adapt, work through the challenges, and keep moving forward together.

Our board is working hard behind the scenes to make this season a success. We know this isn't the ideal start to Fall Ball, but we also know this community is resilient. We've seen the support from our families, coaches, volunteers, and local businesses, and we're incredibly thankful for each of you.

This league is about more than softball. It's about friendships, confidence, teamwork, and giving these girls a place where they can grow both on and off the field. That's worth working through a few bumps in the road.

Thank you for believing in NYSA and for continuing to support youth softball in our community. We can't wait to see the girls back on the field doing what they love.

🥎 Fall Softball Update 🥎

We wanted to share a quick update with everyone on our fall season.

We recently heard back from the City regarding the improvements at our ball fields. While we had been hopeful the project would be completed by early September, the current estimated completion is now the end of September.

We know this isn't the news anyone was hoping for, and we're just as disappointed. Like many of you, we've been looking forward to getting our players back on the fields.

Our board and parents are actively looking for alternative locations where our teams can practice until our fields are ready. While we can't make any promises just yet, we're exploring every option we can to get our players back on the field as soon as possible.

We're continuing to stay in contact with the City and will share updates as soon as we have more information. Our goal is still to provide as much softball as we can this fall if the timeline allows.

We truly appreciate everyone's patience, understanding, and continued support while these improvements are being completed. We know the finished facility will be a great asset for our players and our community for years to come.

As soon as we have a confirmed timeline and know what our fall season will look like, we'll let everyone know right away. Thank you for sticking with us—we can't wait to see these fields full of kids playing softball again! 💙🥎
