HISTORY IN THE MAKING — A HUGE DAY FOR GUN OWNERS!

We’re living in some CRAZY times for firearm owners in America!

As many of you know, Silencer Shop Foundation and other plaintiffs have been fighting the ATF and the federal government over the continued enforcement of the NFA on suppressors, SBRs, SBSs and AOWs — even after Congress reduced the applicable NFA tax to $0.

On August 5th, 2026, a federal judge in Texas issued a monumental ruling and permanent injunction against enforcement of the challenged NFA provisions as they apply to the covered plaintiffs, including applicable members and customers. Oklahoma is one of the 15 states included as a plaintiff in the case.

The government's deadline to seek further relief has now arrived, and August 13th could mark a major turning point in how covered transactions involving suppressors and other affected NFA items are handled.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
For covered individuals, the ruling may allow qualifying suppressor transfers to be completed without the traditional Form 4/NFA approval process.

For qualifying transactions, the process could look much more like a standard firearm transfer:

✅ Form 4473
✅ NICS background check
✅ No $200 tax
✅ No traditional Form 4 approval

BUT — AND THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: this ruling does NOT automatically mean every person in Oklahoma can walk into an FFL tomorrow and take possession of an NFA item without additional requirements. The injunction has specific coverage provisions, and eligibility needs to be verified before a transfer is completed.
