ISCF SEMI-CONTACT MMA
We are so excited to be initiating the comeback of the ISCF, International Sport Combat Federation! For those of you who are not familiar with our sister organization, the ISCF was the first ever Sanctioning/Regulatory Body for Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Another brain child of Steve Fossum, the ISCF caught fire across the US and also into Canada, Mexico, England, Scotland, Wales, Australia, India, Iran, South Africa and Iraq. Fossum's desire was to build the ISCF as a bigger, better and more organized "Sanctioning" organization for Mixed Martial Arts, much like the IKF had done for Kickboxing. So in May of 1999, the International Sport Combat Federation - ISCF - was formed as the first neutral, Regulatory - Sanctioning Body for the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
As we prepare to enter 2025, we are excited to introduce the new ISCF MMA Semi-Contact Division! This ruleset was originally conceptualized by Steve Fossum and we have now adapted it to fit the modern state of the sport today. It is no secret that the IKF Semi-Contact craze has exploded across the country allowing thousands of fighters to “cut their teeth” in the combat sports before taking the big step into the amateur ring. Now it is ISCF’s turn to do the same for those wishing to get experience in MMA. Fighters can now test their skills in a much safer environment – while increasing their striking and grappling development and offering an incubator into the amateur realm.
The revitalization of the ISCF will breathe new life into combat sport communities across the country, and we are excited to take our place among the semi-contact pioneers that have set the bar and the pace for this ever growing industry. Join us as we make history in our first ground-breaking event to be held in January, promoted by Santa Cruz Fight Club! Don’t Miss Out!
