🏈 NYFCA WEEKEND UPDATE — WE HAVE A PLAN! 🏈

First, I want to apologize. This week has been a roller coaster! We know the changes and uncertainty have been frustrating, and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility.

But one thing has stayed the same — our boys want to PLAY and they want those reps! 💪🏈

We finally have a plan for this weekend:

FRIDAY NIGHT — BLANCHARD TURF
🏈 5th Grade — 7:00 PM
🏈 3rd Grade — 8:00 PM

SATURDAY MORNING — NEWCASTLE MIDDLE SCHOOL

🏈 4th Grade — 8:00 AM
🏈 Flag — 9:00 AM
🏈 2nd Grade — 10:00 AM

SATURDAY MORNING-HARRAH

🏈 Flag- Newcastle Team 3 Neufield VS Tuttle flag

6th Grade will be taking the weekend off.

Thank you to everyone who has worked behind the scenes to help us find a way to get these kids on the field. It hasn’t been an easy week, but we’re excited that our boys will have an opportunity to compete, get some reps, and play the game they love.

🏈💙 NYFCA NEEDS YOU! VOLUNTEERS + BOARD OPENING! 💙🏈

Football season is here, and our home games don’t happen without volunteers! From helping at the gate and concessions to keeping things running smoothly throughout the day, it takes all of us to create a great game-day experience for our kids.

🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️ PLEASE SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER!
Even giving a little bit of your time makes a BIG difference. Plus, it’s a fun way to get involved, meet other NYFCA families, and be part of what makes our Racer community special!

📣 NYFCA BOARD POSITION OPEN

We currently have one open seat on the NYFCA Board.

We would love to add someone who wants to get involved, bring fresh ideas to the table, and help us continue improving NYFCA for our players, cheerleaders, coaches, and families.

We are especially interested in a parent with a child in K–3rd grade football, but we welcome anyone who is genuinely interested in serving and helping the organization.

Please understand that while this is a 100% volunteer position, being a board member can require a significant time commitment during the season. Applicants should be willing and able to:

🏈 Attend monthly board meetings
🏈 Help with home games and NYFCA events
🏈 Work as part of a team and bring solutions and ideas
🏈 Be willing to jump in and help when needed
🏈 Keep the focus on creating the best possible experience for our kids

It can be busy, but it can also be a lot of fun and incredibly rewarding. If you’ve ever had an idea about how we can make NYFCA better, here’s your opportunity to have a seat at the table and help make it happen!

There are moments in youth sports that are bigger than wins, losses, trophies, or scoreboards.

This is one of them. 💙🏈

Imagine being a kindergartner… a 2nd grader… a 6th grader… and getting the opportunity to walk through the high school football locker room while the players you look up to are standing there cheering YOU on.

For a few minutes, those little kids get to feel ten feet tall.

They get to see the jerseys, the lockers, and the players they watch on Friday nights—and maybe, for just a second, picture themselves standing in that same locker room someday.

That’s how traditions are built.

That’s how you show a child that they are already part of something bigger than themselves.

Eric Ledoux and Shawn Judkins, thank you for starting this tradition and understanding what moments like this mean to our kids.

May every child who walks through those doors know the feeling of having an entire community behind them.

Because these K–6 kids aren’t just our youth football players.

They are the future.
