We have fought against e-motorcycles for over 5 years. We have worked with every police agency in Ventura County as well and we are finally seeing enforcement actions. While we have never worked on or provided services for these E-motorcycles it is really good to see them being removed from public streets.

If you are a customer and own one of these or have a child riding one of these please read the article and stop riding it.

UPDATE: Tommi Jo Mejer is facing felony charges after her son’s illegal e-motorcycle crash left a beloved teacher and veteran fighting for his life. Authorities say she was previously warned. 🏍️⚠️ MORE BELOW ⬇️

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Bradley Hughes. Brad left us on December 31, 2025 at his home in Thousand Oaks.

Brad’s journey in the bike industry spanned over five remarkable decades. Beginning with Schwinn in his hometown of Chicago, Brad’s passion for cycling and dedication to the community were evident from the very start. His career brought him to Diamond Back in Camarillo, Cannondale in Bethel, IL, and even as far as Taichung, Taiwan—each chapter marked by his unwavering commitment and expertise.

After returning to the United States, Brad became a guiding force for new brands entering the cycling world. His wisdom and generous spirit made him an invaluable consultant and mentor to many.

Since November 2019, Brad graced both locations of NP Bike Shop with his presence and knowledge as a part-time team member. Whether he was helping customers find their perfect ride or sharing stories from his vast experience, Brad touched countless lives with kindness and warmth. 

Brad was more than just an industry expert; he was a mentor, a friend, and a source of inspiration for all who had the privilege to know him. His unwavering kindness, sense of humor, and genuine love for cycling will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

We know this loss will be deeply felt throughout our community. His unwavering kindness, sense of humor, and genuine love for cycling will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Together, let’s honor a true legend who will forever remain in our hearts. Both our Newbury Park and Camarillo locations will be closed Saturday, January 24 to mourn the loss of Brad and celebrate his life. His family would like to extend the invitation to everyone who would like to join us in celebrating Brad. His smile, infectious laugh and Chicago accent will truly be missed.
