Aaliyah Beck! 💚

Aaliyah has appeared in a range of professional projects, both on and off screen, including the Billboard Music Awards, the Grammys, nationwide commercials, music videos, and more. She has worked with renowned artists such as J-Lo, Karol G, Mario, Taio Cruz, J Balvin, The Weeknd, and Bebe Rexha and is a Faculty Member for Hollywood Connection Dance Convention. ⭐

Congratulations to the Thrive Theater Program for putting on TWO incredible shows this weekend at our annual theater showcase: Thrive Live! 💙💚

From hilarious group acting scenes, to emotional solo vocal performances, to the exciting All Musical Theater performance of The Greatest Showman, Thrive Live 2026 was a blast! We love seeing all of the amazing performers in the Thrive Theater Program showcase their acting, voice, and musical theater skills on the big stage! 🎤

"I will be attending Moorpark College for two years and then transferring!"

What are you planning to study in school?
"Nursing"

What is your favorite dance genre?
"Jazz"

How many years have you been dancing?
"14 years"

What will you always remember from your time at Thrive?
"I will always remember hanging out with my friends during classes, as well as the debriefs before ballet!"

What do you love about your Thrive family?
"I love how positive everyone is! Everyone supports each other in and outside of classes."

If you could give a message or a piece of advice to younger dancers, what would it be?
"If I could give a piece of advice to younger dancers, it would be to embrace every opportunity to learn, grow, and persevere! Don’t take things so seriously and make sure to enjoy every little moment because it goes by so quickly."

What will you always remember from your time at Thrive?
"I will always remember how happy, enthusiastic, and positive everyone is. One of my favorite parts about Thrive is how at least one person will ALWAYS give you a hug or high five when you walk down the hallways."

What do you love about your Thrive family?
"I love how loving and supportive my Thrive family is. My teachers have always been there when I need help or reassurance. My friends will always give me hugs and laughs when I need."

"Don’t take things too seriously, just have fun!!"

"I’ll be getting my BFA in Dance and a Minor in Biochemistry"

"Ballet and Modern"

How many years have you been dancing?
"15 years"

What will you always remember from your time at Thrive?
"How I was able to find my identity as an artist and explore different genres of dance after coming from a strict ballet upbringing."

What do you love about your Thrive family?
"How supportive, encouraging, and accepting all the staff and other students were from my first day."

If you could give a message or a piece of advice to younger dancers, what would it be?
"Don’t be a crepe, be a pancake. Don’t spread yourself so thin that you aren’t able to fully enjoy everything. It’s important to find a balance between doing what you love but also finding time to take care of yourself so you can actually enjoy every moment of it. Sometimes you have to prioritize the less fun things or take a step back and give yourself a second to breathe even if it means missing out on some things, and that’s ok!"
