5month post op update no one asked for but I’m giving you anyway 😅

I’m usually not someone to focus on weight and weighing in much at all 1) because I strength train so often it truthfully doesn’t change much and 2) it’s just a mental game for most people. But I took this a little science experiment since my eating habits had to change so drastically for recovery.

I started at 195 - my lowest in Sunday was 166

Let this serve as proof that diet changes yield weight loss, maybe not as drastic as this because going from a normal diet to a week of liquid and then a month and a half of soft food consisting of ice cream and mac n cheese isn’t ideal, but I’ve come out of this being more self aware of all the mindless snacking I was doing. And the medication I was on for GERD caused me a decent amount of weight gain and inflammation and this is from someone who ate decent, taught 6+ group fit classes a week on top of 4-5 days of strength training.

Now, some of this is muscle loss because I’ve nearly maintained for three months of my barre Pilates classes and walking. So I’m looking forward to working on recomposition now that I FINALLY feel normal again.

So here’s to me celebrating my wins, and feeling more confident and like my old self.
