diastasis in pregnancy is normal but if you’ve had a c-section, the separation of your abdominal muscles can be even more severe from surgery. after my first baby I had a 4.5 finger separation that I healed entirely on my own, without additional surgery.

Audrey completed 15/16 workouts (she only missed one because she was assisting a 48 hour birth!), she regularly participated in the group chat, asked for form checks, hit 49 PRs, and hit a bodyweight deadlift & hip thrust for reps!

I’m coming up on 35 weeks pregnant.

I feel like I am constantly talking about the importance of movement and exercise in pregnancy, instead of the outdated advice that it’s a time to “take it easy.”

But rest is still important. Vitally so. Especially in this season. And unfortunately it’s something I’ve always struggled with as I feel a constant need to be productive.

The good news is rest IS productive.
• Muscle actually builds during recovery, not during the workout
• Chronic under-recovery tanks your progress & increases injury risk
• Consistent rest = better performance, strength gains, & body composition changes
• Rest allows your nervous system to actually adapt to training stress
• Sleep debt compounds—one bad week of sleep sets you back weeks of progress

Finding that balance between pushing hard and recovering well? That’s literally my job. Let me help you build a plan that actually sticks, where rest is part of the strategy, not a failure of willpower 🫶🏻
