Newburgh Rowing Club

Newburgh Rowing Club Rowers of all ages and abilities, and those who wish to learn about rowing, join together at our 6,000 square foot boathouse on the Hudson River.

The Newburgh Rowing Club is a not-for-profit organization, based at the Ward Brothers Memorial Park in the City of Newburgh, on the majestic Hudson River. We are now in our 23rd year. Come join us, as we strive daily to make Newburgh a better place, one stroke at a time. We offer Learn to Row Programs for ages 10 - 17 and Competitive Rowing programs for Middle School and High School students. Our

ground-breaking scholarship-based inclusion program called "America Rows Newburgh," is an official affiliate of USRowing's America Rows inclusion program. We also offer Summer Camp, Open Row, Adult rowing, and community service opportunities. We have a fleet of muscle powered vessels, from kayaks and gig boats to sculling crew shells and sweep crew shells, acquired over the years and recently through the generosity of donors like you! The Programs Director is Coach Ed Kennedy, the Senior Rowing Coach in the Hudson Valley. Under Coach Kennedy's tutelage, his rowers have brought back to the Boathouse hundreds of trophies, from a NYS Championship, to County and regional championships, and Silver at the Empire State Games. No experience needed! Under-served youth living in the area may qualify to row on scholarship through the Student Ambassador program. Join us on the Hudson River, where fun and discipline combine with fitness for a whole new sports experience!
