During the Hudson Valley Renegades game on August 2, 2024 - recognizing the Negro League baseball team The Newburgh Gorhams - Hook Elite Boxing Club and Coach Leonard Lee will host a fundraiser. Tickets are $18 - $10 of which goes to support the youth boxing program.

Congratulations to Tobias Green (r) on his win against Jayson Velez in Nashville on June 4.

Green had his mettle tested against Velez, a seasoned veteran with 47 fights under his belt who most recently went the distance with Ryan Garcia in December 2023.

The contest marked the dawn of "Tobias on the Rise" and his next bout is scheduled for July 2 (details and specifics to follow).

Hook Elite Boxing Ministry sent 8 boxers to the Silver Gloves National in Independence, Missouri. We came back with four first-place and one second-place finishes.

Newburgh is known for its violence and gun play, a place that is always shooting hurting and killing each other. A place that needs help to stop the violence and killings. So we are offering something to help stop those cowardly situations.

To those who need to fight, the Newburgh Hook Elite Boxing Ministry is offering a way to handle your situation without killing, shooting, stabbing and going to jail. Come to Friday night sparring - Gloves Up, Guns Down - to stop the violence, to learn the sweet science and make friends.

As it stands now, no one wants to participate but will pick up a gun and shoot one another. So to all you gun carrying individuals: put the guns down, pick up the gloves, and live to see another day.
