Congratulations to Jerry Aigner – 2026 Leave It Better Award Recipient

Each year, at WPF Gala, Warrick Trails and Warrick Parks Foundation present the Leave It Better Award, created in memory of Howard Nevins, to honor individuals who make Warrick County stronger through their service, leadership, and investment in the community. This year we were proud to recognize Jerry Aigner as this year’s recipient.
A lifelong Warrick County resident, Jerry has spent decades helping shape our community — first as a teacher and coach, and later through his work in construction, land restoration, and community development. His support of parks, sports fields, and youth opportunities reflects his belief that strong communities begin with investing in the next generation.

📢 NEW PARTNERSHIP NEWS! The Warrick Parks Foundation is partnering with Dr. Baker's exercise science class at the Warrick Pathways & Career Center to present this year's Race the Trails - 5K, One-Mile & Kids Dash! Students will receive hands on experience planning this healthy, community event, while the WPF will learn from these creative, young minds. All proceeds from this event will be split and funds raised by the WPCC students will be used for their course certification. Students will be reaching out about sponsorships and participating.
