FRIDAY IS THE DAY! We will have a very special guest pushing the button to start our new Splash Pad. Jentry Pace, son of Ohio Township Firefighter John Pace, arrived home yesterday from his long hospital stay in Louisville. We have asked Jentry to join us for opening day at Noon on Friday.

Progress update! 🚧 The new Ohio Township Park is looking more and more complete each day. Take a look at some of our latest milestones, including progress on the splash fountains, essential electrical work, and a freshly paved parking lot (striping coming up next!).

🚧 Pardon the progress... it’s finally happening! 🛑

​The final layer of asphalt is being poured as we speak! After a few bumps in the road (and plenty of weather delays), the entrance and parking lot are moving right along.

​Soon and very soon, Ohio Township Park will be open for everyone. Hang tight, we are almost there! 🎉

Update to the Ohio Township Park Opening

​We know how eagerly everyone is waiting for the new Ohio Township Park to open. We see the excitement, we hear your questions, and we completely share your frustration regarding the delay.

​What is causing the delay? Building a 17 1/2-acre park from the ground up involves a lot of moving parts, and we have hit numerous unexpected, final roadblocks that have temporarily paused our grand opening.

Delayed equipment, multiple contractor coordination, and cooperation by Mother Nature have caused unexpected delays, all of which are out of our hands. We are doing everything humanly possible to cross the finish line.

​While it is tempting to open the park partially completed, we simply cannot compromise on your safety. Our teams are working around the clock, including weekends, to resolve these final details so that the park is not just beautiful, but completely safe and enjoyable for every child, parent, and resident who walks through it.

​An official opening date will be shared here the very moment it is finalized. Thank you for holding us to a high standard and thank you for your continued patience. We are so close and we promise it will be worth the wait!
