Eastern Maine Basketball League was founded in 2001; the result of a desire to offer kids in Eastern Maine an opportunity for additional competitive playing time. Recreation departments, YMCA's and towns are represented in this league to form 'travel teams' that compete in Eastern Maine. The season begins with registration in October and a 10 game schedule beginning in November. The season culmina

tes with a single elimination tournament. We have come a long way since 2001 when we started with 12 teams. In 2010/2011 our league totaled over 90 teams; growth that has been the result of many peoples efforts.

A busy day on the hardwood. A big thanks to Beth LaFountain for hosting the inaugural Crossover games between EMBL and CMBC. 🏀 It was awesome watching the next 🏀 Stars!
Very proud of the EMBL for representing our league with skill and sportsmanship!
Next year EMBL is the host. Big shoes to fill as Beth and the Alfond Youth Center put on a great event.
