Oakland Tennis Center Oakland Tennis Center is a City of Newberry Facility. Oakland Tennis has 6 hard courts and 3 ClayTech courts.

The goal of the Oakland Tennis Center project is to establish a vibrant tennis program that will reach all parts of the community. A prime focus of the Oakland Tennis Center is introducing the community to tennis and further develop those who have already learned that tennis is a lifetime sport. The Oakland Tennis Center is home to City of Newberry tennis programming and the home of the Newberry College Wolves Tennis teams. The only ClayTech courts in the state of South Carolina! The purpose of this site is to discuss matters of public interest in and to the municipality as identified and raised by the municipality for discussion. We encourage you to submit comments that are on topic, but please address your comments to the specific topic(s) discussed. This is a forum limited to the specific topics identified and raised by the municipality.

Want to better learn the game of tennis?

Join us for Tennis 101, a beginner adult tennis program at Oakland Tennis Center.

Tennis 101 is a beginner-friendly program for new players or those returning to the game. Learn (or re-learn) the basics in a fun, welcoming environment while building confidence on the court.

Participants will receive:
-4 weekly sessions focused on skills and fundamentals
-A chance to meet and play with other new tennis players
-A brand-new tennis racquet is included with registration
