EXECUTIVE BOARD VACANCY
The Newaygo County Sportsman’s Club currently has an opening on our Executive Board for the position of First and Second Vice President.
We would like to take a moment to thank Rod Boker (1st Vice President) and Vern Piper (2nd Vice President) for their years of dedicated service on the NCSC Board.
If you are interested in becoming more involved with the Club and would like to be nominated for either of these positions, please reach out to us.
We would be happy to answer any questions you may have about the position, responsibilities, and expectations before you decide if you would like to be considered.
Thank you to all of our members who continue to support and help make our Club successful!

Future Treasurer & President Succession and Cross-Training
• The club needs to begin planning for our future Treasurer and future President.
• Any member interested in either position, or who would like more information
about the responsibilities, is encouraged to reach out to Melissa Christians or
Dianne Newton.
• This is a great opportunity to begin cross-training potential nominees before
future elections and transitions.
• Cross-training for Treasurer can include financial procedures, deposits,
bookkeeping, financial reporting, recordkeeping, and other Treasurer
responsibilities.
• Cross-training for President can include Board and membership meetings, club
operations, staffing, events, administrative responsibilities, policies and
procedures, and working with other Board members to address the ongoing
needs of the club.
• Starting the process early will help develop future club leaders and provide a
smoother transition when new officers take on these positions.
