Directions to the Flying Field: GPS Coord. Lat 32º59'412"N Lon 97º28'201"W. From downtown Fort Worth, take 35W North (~11 miles) to the 287 exit (exit 60). Travel on 287 for ~8.4 miles and exit Avondale Haslet Rd/Farm to Market Rd 718 toward Newark. Go left and travel ~3.3 miles to Farm to Market 1220 S/Morris Dido Newark Rd. Turn left and the flying field will be approximately .5 miles on your right hand side. Coming from I820 take the Jacksboro/Azle Ave exit. Exit on Jacksboro Hwy (199 West) and go about 1/4 mile. Turn right off Jacksboro Hwy onto Boat Club Rd (FM 1220). The field is ~19 miles north on FM1220. During the drive be sure to stay right on FM1220 since Boat Club Rd turns left just past the Veterinary Clinic. Watch your speed (50 MPH) as you pass the "Resort" community on the left. Continuing on you will pass the Kenneth Copeland Ministries. Slow down for the sharp curve and go up and over the hill. Turn left at the entrance to the Texas Wings Flying Field. Free Public Flight Training at Texas Wings Flying Club Field - Newark, Texas. Starts every Wednesday afternoon, weather permitting, during daylight savings time.
