Blue Hens are a Tier II Youth Travel Ice Hockey Organization. We are a member of the Delaware Valley Hockey League (DVHL) and play out of the University of Delaware Ice Arenas.

We’re just TWO weeks from the official kickoff of the 2026-2027 Jr. Blue Hens season!

🏒 Power Skating & Goalie Clinic Mondays are almost here. Don’t miss out as we bring in top-level instructors to help players build speed, edge work, and confidence for the season ahead.

💪 Team practices and off-ice workouts also begin. NEW this season, we’re leveling up off-ice with EMG Elite Training to help our players get stronger, faster, and ready to compete.

Hey Jr. Blue Hens families! 💙💛

Tonight is the LAST night for uniform sizing! If you’re new to the organization or last year’s gear doesn’t quite fit anymore, stop by the Rust Arena Lounge from 6PM–8PM to get sized for jerseys, shells, and socks.

We’ll also have a limited number of our popular Jr. Blue Hens blankets available for purchase. Once they’re gone, they’re gone — don’t miss out!

Jr. Blue Hens families — don’t forget tonight, Monday, May 18th from 6:00–8:00 PM we’ll be in the Rust Arena Lounge for Sizing Night!

Be sure to bring your equipment so players can properly try on jerseys, shells, and socks to get the right fit for the season.

Can’t make it tonight? No problem — we’ll also be there tomorrow night from 6:00–8:00 PM.

Our 14U team is having an awesome weekend at the DVHL Showcase! 💙💛

New season. New teammates. New memories already being made. From the games on the ice to the laughs and team bonding off the ice, this group is already starting to come together like family.

That’s what Jr. Blue Hens hockey is all about — building chemistry, creating friendships, and growing together as a team every time we hit the ice.

We can’t wait to see what all of our teams can do this season. Summer practices can’t come soon enough!

New season, new team, and a fresh start. This weekend is all about coming together, building chemistry, and taking the next step as a team both on and off the ice.

We’re excited to see this group hit the ice and kick off the season together.

❤️🩷Happy Mother’s Day to all of our incredible Jr. Blue Hens moms. 💙💛

Thank you for every early morning, every late-night drive, every piece of gear packed at the last second, every snack bag, every load of laundry, and every mile traveled to get your players where they need to be.

Thank you for doing the “hockey mom math” to somehow make it all work. For cheering in freezing rinks, celebrating the wins, picking them up after the tough losses, and being the constant support behind every player who steps onto the ice.

But most of all, thank you for showing up not just for your own player, but for ALL of our Jr. Blue Hen players. That’s what makes this club so special 💙💛

We hope today is filled with love, appreciation, and maybe even a little time to relax. You deserve it all.

Congratulations to Jr. Blue Hens alum Ty McGroarty on being selected 91st Overall in Phase 1 of the 2026 USHL Draft by the Waterloo Black Hawks.

Ty’s journey started right here with the Jr. Blue Hens, and we couldn’t be more proud to see where the game is taking him. Keep chasing it, Ty — we can’t wait to watch what’s next.
