Professor Vee Was an Intellectual Giant.
It's amusing when I hear these martial arts revisionists try to undermine Profesor Vee’s accomplishments by saying that he had students or a student who superseded him.
It would take days for me to write about the many people who claim to know and have a personal relationship with Professor Vee. At most, the only time they spent with him was in training. Even then most couldn't comprehend the true teaching. It is similar to a kid in first grade being introduced to cell biology and the function of a cell. Yes, they may draw a cell but never understand the complexities.
When you say you knew Professor Vee, did he discuss with you the major western literary, historical, political, and philosophical works that he read? Did you talk with him about all the religions he studied, both western & eastern? Did he expose you to ANY of the 10,000 plus books he read, beginning with the Greeks and the Bible and ending with the most influential political thinkers of the 19th-20th century? Did he talk to you about medicine, anatomy, and the function of the body, how about the research he did on every major martial arts system in existence? Did he share with you the plan and complexities of developing several Vee Jitsu Systems of Systems and the fact that he was working on his last contribution to mankind before he passed?
How dare you even think ANY student who studied under him could ever supersede him. It's ignorant and embarrassing to even discuss. There will never be anyone in Vee Jitsu or its many systems or branches that will replace or rise above Professor Florendo M. Visitacion, the greatest martial arts teacher and intellectual we will ever know -Dr. Robert Evans
