🥎💙💛 BIG NEWS FOR OUR CANAL SOFTBALL PLAYERS! 💛💙🥎

We are so excited to announce that the University of Delaware Softball Team will be coming to Canal Little League to host a SPECIAL SOFTBALL CLINIC!

This clinic is open to Canal Softball players of ALL AGES and is completely FREE!

📅 Saturday, October 10th
⏰ 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Our players will have the opportunity to learn, have fun, build their skills, and spend time with members of the UD Softball Team! 🐔🥎

Players should:
✅ Come dressed and ready to play
✅ Bring their softball equipment
✅ Be ready to have FUN!

Join us for a FREE, fun-filled night for the whole family on Friday, October 2nd from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Cook Family Farms!

We have so many awesome fall activities lined up:
🔥 Bonfires & Hayrides
🌽 Maze fun
🐖 Whole roasted pig & delicious food
🎃 FREE pumpkin for every child!
🛍️ The Cook Family Farms Market will also be open for families to purchase fresh goodies!

⚠️ WE NEED YOUR HEADCOUNT! ⚠️
While this is a FREE event, we ask that everyone sign up in advance so we can prepare enough food and fun for everyone. When you RSVP, please let us know how many people are in your crew and if you can bring a side dish, dessert, or drinks to share!

🚨 CANAL FIELD DAY — TOMORROW! ⚾

8:30am - 3PM - come anytime!!

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for our Canal Little League Field Day! A few important reminders for our volunteers:

🚗 PARKING: Please park inside the Canal complex. We do not want to disrupt church services taking place in the morning, so please be respectful of our neighbors and their parking areas.

📋 SIGN IN & SIGN OUT: When you arrive, please report to the Clubhouse at the Majors Baseball Field — second story above the Majors Concessions Stand.

⭐ IMPORTANT — FREE FALL BALL TUITION RAFFLE!
To be entered into our raffle for FREE Fall Ball tuition, volunteers MUST sign in AND sign out at the Clubhouse. This is how we will verify your volunteer time and raffle entries.

🛠️ PLEASE BRING TOOLS!
If you have tools that could help with general field cleanup, landscaping, trimming bushes, raking, weeding, etc., please bring them with you!

👟 DRESS COMFORTABLY:
Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty. We’ll be working around the entire complex!
Every extra set of hands makes a HUGE difference. Canal is run by volunteers, and days like this allow us to make improvements throughout our complex for all of our players and families.

Junior Baseball is for League Ages 13–14 and is a great opportunity to keep playing, keep developing, and get more reps this fall.

Fall Ball is a little more relaxed than spring, but it is still a great way to stay on the field and get ready for the next season.

Want a chance to have your Fall Ball registration completely FREE? Come help us at our next Field Day! Already paid? If you win, we’ll refund your tuition!

Thank you to everyone who came out for our first Field Day today!

Our board members, their significant others, and their kids put in a lot of work. Outside of those families, only TWO additional people came out to help—and one of them was a 13-year-old softball player! Thank you—we appreciate you!

Canal Little League is a volunteer-run organization, and maintaining our complex takes a lot of hands. We know everyone is busy, so we’re adding a little extra incentive for our next Field Day!

NEXT FIELD DAY
Sunday, August 30th
Come anytime between 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Volunteer for 2 or more hours and you’ll be entered into a raffle to win:

Already paid for Fall Ball? No problem—we’ll refund your tuition if you win!

Even better, you’ll receive ONE raffle entry for EACH person you bring to help. Bring your spouse, kids, family members, friends, coworkers, teammates, neighbors. Every person you bring earns you another entry!

Kids are absolutely welcome to come help too!

We’ll be working around the complex, including cutting back bushes and overgrowth. If you have tools at home that can help with trimming/cutting back bushes, please bring them with you.

Our fields belong to our Canal community, and the more people who pitch in, the more we can accomplish for our players.
