Ohio Diamonds don’t chase expectations
we set the standard, continue it, and fulfill it.
This season, 10 Ohio Diamonds Depriest players will earn the honor of wearing a leadership patch on their jersey 5 will wear an “L” and 5 will wear a “C.”
This is a huge achievement, voted on by their peers.
This isn’t given.
It’s respected.
It’s earned.
Ohio Diamonds: Leaders vs. Captains
LEADERS (L) — 5 Players
• Set the standard for effort, attitude, and work ethic
• Do the right thing on and off the field
• Lead through actions, not words
• Encourage teammates and strengthen team culture
• Hold themselves accountable first
• Represent what it means to be an Ohio Diamond every day
CAPTAINS (C) — 5 Players
• Serve as the voice of the team
• Communicate between players and coaches
• Help manage game situations and dugout energy
• Address issues with maturity and respect
• Represent the team to umpires, opponents, and families
• Carry visible leadership responsibility during games and events
Not every leader is a captain.
But every captain must be a leader.
