My friend,
Our minds are like closets. The wardrobe of the mind is purchased by the senses and hung for intention. What goes into the mind will hide, evolve, and influence. You cannot control your thoughts; but you can control your thinking. Thinking is an activity that requires action. I am not talking about controlling the process of thinking. I’m talking about controlling what you think after you have a thought. You have all the control over how you respond to your thoughts. When you don’t like a thought, replace the thought by thinking new thoughts.
When the thought crosses your mind that you can’t, think of a time when you did. If you can’t think of a time, imagine a time. You are enough and were made with enough. Remember that when your thoughts try to persuade you to think you’re too small, too big, too dumb, or too far gone. Remember that when your thoughts try to convince you to give up on life. You must know your worth. You must not only be aware of where you are, but you must be aware of who you are and what you’re capable of.
You can overcome your thoughts by thinking. You are not your thoughts, but you can become who you think you are. For that reason, if it is necessary for your beneficial becoming, change the way you think. In other words, renew your mind by thinking virtuous thoughts.
You must lose your mind to find it, and you must explore your mind to make it sound. Learn from your thoughts. Break the cycle of negative thinking by learning about your thoughts. Being aware of your thoughts is not enough. Transform your thoughts into knowledge by way of contemplation. Think about what you want to do with and about your thoughts. Then, do something positive with and about your thoughts.
To transform an unwanted thought:
1. Isolate the thought – focus on one thought at a time.
2. Dissect the thought – cut through emotion.
3. Examine the thought – take a closer look.
4. Diagnose the thought – identify your issues.
5. Think remedies – think new beneficial thoughts.
6. Find remedies – do what works for you.
7. Apply remedies – implement effort.
8. Allow yourself to heal – don’t sabotage your efforts.
9. Heal – become more aware and better connected.
10. Accumulate knowledge – learn from the experience.
11. Share knowledge – teach others.
I really care about everyone's growth process and the only way to grow is to look within, because growth starts from within and works its way out....
