Usually this bump pic is taken in a fitness studio. 😜 And with some kind of caption, like “baby is the size of a....” With my first pregnancy, I have a whole album dedicated to these pics with , and . This time the collection of pics is much smaller (basically what you see here), but just as important. It’s evidence that baby girl is loved and supported by a tribe of the coolest people ever. 😎

I feel the most alive when I’m moving AND when I’m with my community. To my partners in dance and and my Tuesday night crew (you know who you are!), I miss you and can’t wait for our reunion when quarantine is over. Happy International Dance Day, everyone!

My dream team... 😇 After two weeks of fighting a cold, I finally got a chance to lead my first class of the year with my dance besties and . I love that teaching with them pushes me to become better and better. I love that seeing them keeps me devoted to my own health and fitness. And I love sharing the positive energy of the space with them and all our class participants week after week. More of this in 2020!

There’s something about being in the studio, blasting music, and feeling completely comfortable in your own skin around people who bring the best feelings out of you. Here's a throwback to last week, when we danced, jump squatted, and cheered under the 90 degree sunshine in Herald Square. Thanks to Dr. Jordan Metzl and the BollyX team (Danny, Vinay, Meena, Ish*ta, Amar, Sri, Ilana, Shara - Dream Team!) here for making this event a blast. The team work was a breeze, and we had nothing but smiles (and sweat!) on this beautiful day.

We're less than a week away from our big Ironstrength + BollyX class in Herald Square! Come join us on Wednesday, July 17th, at 6 PM.

After throwing down 30 minutes of an IronStrength HIIT workout with Dr. Jordan Metzl, we'll have 30 minutes of BollyX - The Bollywood Workout! Two very different workouts = a total blast + serious burn!

Last night I finally took the plunge and taught my first full BollyX - The Bollywood Workout class since giving birth to my baby. After a challenging childbirth and recovery, I started rehabbing my body pretty diligently with the help of some amazing trainers. I also started wetting my feet with BollyX classes, and Danny, Emily, and Vinay were pivotal in building my confidence over several months. Tonight was my first solo BollyX class after almost 12 months! I felt strong, I felt revived, and I had a ton of fun! Thanks to Vinay for hyping me and being my right hand man!
Postpartum recovery takes several months and is different for every woman. For me, it has been humbling to rebuild myself. My core still needs to be strengthened, my stamina still needs work, and my muscles need to be conditioned. But, damn, I got through today and kept it together, and that was a *huge* win for me.
I love getting stronger.
