Our mission is to promote flamenco as a living art form and a vital part of Hispanic heritage, produce and perform high quality dance works, and provide arts education programs that catalyze connections among young people, while nurturing the new generations of Spanish dance artists and educators. 🕺FLAMENCO TEEN SUMMER INTENSIVE💃

When: August 24-28th (10am-2:30pm daily)
Where: Rhythmic Arts Center (175 East 105th Street, New York, NY) Rhythmic Arts Center NYC
What: An immersive week-long dive into the art of flamenco. Students will train in technique, learn traditional choreography, explore their own creative ideas, and study the history and structure of this rich art form. The intensive will be led by Bessie-nominated artist Arielle Rosales ( ), whose work with Flamenco Vivo and as a founding member of Soles of Duende (Soles of Duende) weaves together flamenco, percussion, theater, and improvisation.

Flamenco Vivo is excited to announce that applications are now open for our 2026 Summer Intensive and for the first time, we’re welcoming students ages 16–21 from across the country!

💃Hear from Maitri Acharya about her Certamen Experience!💃

"I had the privilege of competing in the 2025 Flamenco Vivo Certamen Competition Estudio Level and was grateful to receive a scholarship to continue my training in Sevilla. I now see that the competition was not an endpoint, but the beginning of new opportunities and artistic growth. The experience encouraged me to think more broadly about my path, take creative risks, and pursue further development as an artist.In the months that followed, I applied for local arts programs and am fortunate to be selected for the Durham Arts Council Emerging Artist Grant and the NC Dance Festival Artist-in-Residence Program.

The momentum I gained through Certamen continues to shape my work. It has given me a renewed sense of purpose as I continue to train, create, and share my work with others."
