Alhamdulillah, with everyones support and cooperation, Ozone Park Fighters Club has decided to participate in the BASL and Bangladeshi Sports Council of America football tournamnets again this year..
At our opening match at BASL, we faced Garden State FC. The game was played well by both parties and it ended in a draw. At our second game at BASL, we faced Bronx United. Our club won the match 2-1 with goals coming from Jakaria and Ashraful. Man of the match was given to Ashraful.
At our opening match at BSCA, we faced Swandip United. With many of our main players missing, our youngsters showed up ready to play. The boys gave it their all and challenged Swandip to a great match. Even though the game ended in a 2-0 loss to Swandip, our young players got the opportunity gain confidence and the feel of playing a challenging match with a good team. Insha Allah, we look forward to doing better with the leadership from former Bangladesh's national team players, Papu, Shohel and Rayhan. We are truly greatful to them for their commitment, dedication and encouragement.
